Description Description Lavender ‘Dwarf Blue’ (Lavandula angustifolia ‘Dwarf Blue’) is a compact, evergreen, scented shrub up to 40-60cm in height and width. It has silvery grey-green leaves up to 6cm long, giving a wispy impression. The Dwarf in the name refers to the colour as it has soft, violet flowers from mid summer. Lavender ‘Dwarf Blue’ (Lavandula angustifolia ‘Dwarf Blue’) comes under the angustifolia (English Lavender) category meaning they originate from the Mediterranean and mountains of northern Spain. It is hardy throughout most of the UK, having a RHS hardiness rating of H5 meaning it can tolerate temperatures down to -10 to -15C.
