Description Description Pittosporum ‘Pompom’ is a compact, rounded evergreen shrub originating from New Zealand. It grows to a total of 1.2m if left to its own devises. With dark, young stems contrasting nicely with petite glossy leaves. It produces inconspicuous, small, clusters of dark purple bell like flowers with have a honey scented aroma in early summer. It is great when clipped and kept tidy with Phormiums. The horizontal nature of the Pittosprum contrasting nicely with the vertical nature of the phormiums sword like leaves, giving a modern/formal contrast. It also works as well as a low hedge, being far less susceptible to caterpillars than its box counterpart. Aspect Full sun to partial shade Soil Free draining soil RHS Hardiness H4.
