Carex laxiculmus Bunny Blue ‘Hobb’ – Creeping Sedge – Cyperaceae (The Sedge Family)

Description Carex laxiculmus Bunny Blue is a beautiful sedge for moist, shady areas. The wide, bluish, arching foliage forms a neat, rounded, slowly-creeping, textural clump with subtle flower spikes of yellowish-white in late spring. This eastern North American native (including Ontario) is low maintenance and easily grown. Use as an attractive and valuable evergreen perennial ground cover or lawn alternative, an edger for shady borders, for a shot of blue in shady containers, or for erosion control on slopes. Possibly borderline hardy in zone 4. Deer resistant. Cultivar name: ‘Hobb’.
