Rosemary Miss Jessopp’s

$23.56 $35.1
Description Description Rosemary Miss Jessopp’s Miss Jessopp’s Upright is one of the few Rosemary varieties to have been awarded the RHS’s Award of Garden Merit as it offers everything you would want from Rosemary with none of the drawbacks associated with many other varieties. It keeps both its compact shape and upright bearing with minimum attention, while its foliage is highly decorative with dark green leaves displaying a whitish underside enhanced by delicate pale blue flowers in spring and summer. And it is an excellent culinary herb. Rosemary Miss Jessopp’s At-A-Glance Foliage Type: Aromatic evergreen Flowers: Pale Blue in Spring & summer Hardiness: ✯✯✯✯ Ease of maintenance: ✯✯✯✯✯ Drought Resistance: ✯✯✯✯✯ Growth Rate: Medium Soil type: Any Wet/Dry: Needs well-drained soil Preferred situation: Sun Height / Spread: 1.5m x 1.5m Soil and Situation: Miss Jessopp likes a spot in full sun but sheltered from wind. She will be happy in any soil that is well drained including chalk or sand. She is an excellent choice for coastal gardens and is extremely tolerant of drought Maintenance: Little is required – Miss Jessopp can be trimmed to shape after the last frost and before spring growth has started and/or in autumn after flowering. This variety of Rosemary grows at a steady but stately rate and it can take up to 10 years to achieve its maximum size making it ideal for more formal planting as it will keep its shape with a minimum of maintenance. Versatility: Anything you can do with Lavender, you can do with Rosemary – plant it to form a low border or hedge; as ground cover or as a specimen plant in a border, raised bed or container. And finally: Some herbs, like Good King Henry, are only grown for their culinary or other use, others, like Lavender, are primarily ornamental. Rosemary and Miss Jessopp’s Upright in particular, offer the best of both worlds.
