Description Echinacea Delightful ‘Tropics’ is a stunning coneflower bred for its richly scented, double-layered blooms in dazzling tropical colours of orange, mango, and ruby grapefruit. As the flowers mature, their colours deepen and the petals of the central cone expand to nearly cover the larger ray florets for a full, rounded display. Plants have a compact stature to 16 inches tall and will stay tight and uniform with dense, matte-green foliage that contrasts beautifully with the vivid flowers. Ideal for containers and small spaces including cottage, pollinator, and cut flower gardens, and near the front of perennial borders. Echinacea in coastal BC should be planted in hot, dry, sunny spots with thin, average to poor soils for best overwintering. Pollinator magnet. Deer resistant.
