Description From midsummer through early fall, fragrant bottlebrush flowers dance above the deep purple foliage. They are a rich mauve-pink colour when they open and lighten to white as they age. This dwarf cultivar measures in at two to three feet tall. Though tolerant of a full range of light conditions, Actaea (formerly Cimicifuga) are a great way to add fragrance to the shadier garden. Combine with blue or gold foliage. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.
