Wedge Socket – Open Type The Austlift Open Wedge Socket is designed for secure and reliable wire rope terminations. It is engineered to ensure that the nominal diameter of the wire rope matches the socket size, allowing the rope’s loaded end to enter the socket body correctly and avoid bending under tension. Ideal for applications such as crane ropes and other critical lifting uses. Features: Manufactured from high-strength forged alloy steel. Proof tested to twice the Working Load Limit (2× WLL) and break tested to four times the WLL (4× WLL). Fully compliant with AS 2740 standards. Supplied with a test certificate for each fitting.
